Surprising turns of the events, for the first time not a veteran from alpha 5.x won at the first appearance!

Checking the games played pikey lost a lot of them, still the rules of the tournament are such that if a player loses a lot, but wins a lot too, therefore playing a lot in general, this is rewarded by the tournament rules, the player is able to cumulate quite a lot of points.

Another thing to observe is that the number of points accumulated in the tournament is way lower than the previous. This means that the activity between top players diminished. It is almost equal to the first tournament in almost the last days of alpha 6.1.3 .

So far the tournament with the lowest activity in the first two days of all the tournaments so far computed. Maybe it will recover later. (actually it is a nice opportunity for the ones that are strong to spam games, collect victories and seize it)

Conscious-one, that is in the challenging mode in this period, still has to show to be able to keep the upper hand in direct fights. While mcompany can try again to win this week, after his great performances since several tournaments, which are never enough, though, for the first place.

I'm fairly certain there are more than just those 8 that has a record in this tournament, what happened to everyone else's score?

The players appear in the score list only if they have at least one match with 3 encounters (it is written in the parenthesis).

For more details there is the direct fight list, that is also the most interesting part. But good that people do observations because I may overlook there and there.

Still not so many direct fights this week compared to the other weeks, maybe there is a lot of activity by players under 1550 points?

Conscious is still not keeping the promise of beating everyone, but recovering 20 points should be not impossible. Wozza and mcompany battle for the 1st place. Will pikey overcome them again due to his activity?
There are some players with a lot of encounters, but very few "valid" encounters so far (see Ritter in the link on pastebin).

Awareness shows up whenever I decide to farm,
I feel like Ive been plotted for takedown which he already did actually.(i guess ive been picked as target because I only have 47% at top , those are battle scars from alpha testing from lower versions, moslty done by mcomp, ritter and blitz)
Funny thing is that awareness =/ consciousness

Papa pier,
The player
Pikey is newcomer i think.
I remember the player
Kini as 4.x champion
Prowler (nullpionter)

I think the old one at top too is,
Peli.

Those weeks of relative low activity between 1550+ players are very surprising. Pikey, using the chance, just collected his second tournament (I damn myself why am I not playing!? Surely there was a good chance to win it) together with t800 and Ritter runkel. I repeat, the tournament rewards the one that plays the most against relatively strong players and wins the majority of direct fights.

Once again mcompany streak of presence in the top3 persist, it is no small feat, but I was hoping that this was a good time for a win.

Conscious, although claiming to win many players (here, here, and in some other posts), did not play enough to accumulate points. Wozza, although doing good, ended up short of the third place.

Quick update,
80 im an idiot matches deployed is finally done. This should be the lowest i could go with my current build.
(I didn't notice the duplicates at
Blue original bots
Red mk_II bots)

I dont mind tournaments as usual, i just play to waste my time. And me forcing myself here is stressing me out.
Im not the strongest player, i know and im younger than you think ;), im not experienced in any programming even at logic. (Pre-school, sorry)

It is up to you to delete everything. I would not do it unless the tactic takes too much to be changed.

As for the tournament, I suppose it is up to you to decide to compete seriously (spamming) or not. I guess many players win points in the tournament without thinking about it. I am the only one that does it willingly.

So, my observations of pikey is quite interesting, or rather my I noticed that can't really notice pikey until the last day. That's kinda interesting because the last day is always a weekend (where I'd assume most of us has the most amount of free time) and the whole stigma of the last day easily allows for there to be more players that qualify to play in order to gain score. Now considering that, I;m surprised just how many points he mostly got in a single day.

Anyways, I probably had enough qualifying sets, but I know I took quite the amount of losses this week, and I'm honestly surprised I had enough games to sneak into 2nd dispite the amount of losses I took

Yah its always best when you test,
But its never good when you test and forgot that your testing and deploy almost 100 games with unstable ais.

My bot character are so small that i rarely noticed i changed them.

Ex. My split team

Blue team all is named /st
Red team is named /st2
And i did that to 4 more maps lol, im an idiot.
Brb soon tho.

For me the point is: in the week-end there is more activity, but nevertheless one builds up points (remember that direct fights with 2 encounters do not count) also in the weekdays. So since pikey played like 750 games in the week, while all the players in the top 3 played less, he had more chances to accumulate points (of course, given that he wins the matches).

But it is also possible because the amount of points hold by many players where not so much. I mean we had tournaments were 90 was not even enough for the 3rd place.

Re: Unavoidable tournaments!

Stimulated by a new fixes, Ritter breaks a period of partial activity and release an impressive spam of games, collecting most of the points (see past tournaments. Ritter scored always some points but often was distant from the 3rd position in terms of points, aside from the two tournaments that he won. For example mcompany was way more constant in being in the top3). Pikey follow closely, confirming that he is still quite active and also getting better (that is, he is winning more and more direct fights over the total played). The rest of the group follows the pattern of the past tournament, hardly the first 2 days in the week - because the scores of today are not included - are enough to let people pass the 15 points threshold.

If the trend holds in this way, even if past tournaments shown that surprises are possible, would be unlikely to recover ritter points. If the activity trend holds like the two past tournaments, the top player at the end of the week has to accumulate 90 or more points. That is: winning 30 direct fights (each on a different map). For more info, as usual, check the direct fights link.

Side notes. Mcompany is always quite active but his recent activity is returning around 75 points in a week, so he still have a chance to win. Will conscious-one be able to spam like pikey and collect even more points than pikey?

It is unlikely that I will compete also in this tournament (damn me), but surely I will help someone to get points.

Updating the scores with: maximum scores attainable if one would win all the valid games played. The number of valid games (that assigns points) against the number of total games. The difference shows the latent potential in points (assuming that the valid games are hard to recover. That is, a 3-0 is hard to convert to 1.5-1.5 or 0.3).

(players not having any direct fights with 3 encounters are not listed)
scores tournament no.9 , day 4/7, 1550+ players (active), 400+ games
ritter runkel score:102 max th. score:108 valid games/total games:36/102
pikey score:60 max th. score:105 valid games/total games:35/109
-> this means that pikey has collected so far 35 valid games out of 109 direct fights (so the remaining direct fights have less than 3 matches played on the given map). If he would have had a win ratio of 100% he would have collected 105 points. Still pikey may collect many points if he and the opponents would complete the remaining direct fights.
mcompany score:25.5 max th. score:36 valid games/total games:12/85
pedrodemil score:24 max th. score:39 valid games/total games:13/66
wozza score:21 max th. score:24 valid games/total games:8/76
