activated game on steam but can not run it

Hi,
today i tried to activate gladiabots on steam with the key i got from itch.io but it failed.
If i start the game on Linux steam says:
An error occurred while updating Gladiabots (missing executable)
Any ideas?

From FAQ:

Why aren't Linux and Mac versions on Steam?
Mac and Linux versions are available on itch.gladiabots.com.
I'm not confident enough in their stability to put it on Steam yet.
Update: I created a branch called "new-platforms" you can use to test it. Feedback are welcome!
