First impressions about the new maps
Dominance: Although the positions of resources and bases changed, the battle there is quite similar to the other 3 bots map Kingmaker. Since the scoring route is in the middle and exposed to the enemy, prioritize pushing seems to be the best. In this sense, I think that it is less strategy open than Kingmaker.
Flanking: The side wing is the key of this map. A successful flanking makes retreat problems to his opponent. However, the side wing is often too weak and get prioritized. Besides the side wing is quite close to the edge, it under the risk of falling off when flanking. The other possible ways of using the side wing is still open.
Lake Rushtown: At first look it is quite similar to SYP because of the same bot configuration. Nevertheless. It does have something counter-intuitive--escorting the balls closer to ally base is not an advantage. It is possible for the opponent to rush and steal the resources when they are escorted close to their bases. In my limited thought I believe that it makes pushing an prevailing strategy and less strategy open to others.
So in this critical review I rate: Flanking > Lake Rushtown > Dominance
