Quick Question about Tagging

How do I convert, "If no enemies have Bot Tag 5..." into a node?

As a side note, in the FAQ (http://gfx47.com/games/Gladiabots/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=126), GFX does a really nice job of explaining condition and action priorty/filtering steps, but he doesn't mention invert. Invert really confuses me on certain nodes. Could someone explain how that works or point me to a post that does? Thanks!

This should work.

Try to find what should not be there and check, if this is non-existent

Read the first post on the faq. Invert negates the condition set. Like, does exist any shotgun enemy?Invert, make it: does not exist any shotgun enemy?

can we tag different objects with the same exclusive tag letter? like tagging resource and enemy to the same A.

If you use exclusive tagging only one object will get the tag. Otherwise you can get that with conditions. For example tagging the enemy base with 5 and one you are near to it tag the bot with 5 too.

Would be nice if you provide a clear situation so we can help.

Except if the "Target selection" is set to "Any", but even then all the objects tagged will be of the selected "Target type".
So tagging multiple objects of different types is not possible with a single action or with only exclusive tagging.

I'm not sure I can give a clear situation, but I'll try.
This is resource tagging system,

And this is enemy tagging system booth are using exclusive team tag "A".

Is it possible? So resource collector will collect "A" resource while attacker dealing with "A" enemy.

Thanks.

Not if you use exclusive tags.
Normal tag action: tags the specified object
Exclusive tag action: removes all previous tags (of the same kind) and tags the specified object

If you can make your system work without using exclusive tags (or at least only on one of the actions, but then you have to be super careful) it will work.

I'm still learning the system but this game is like a small AI laboratory. You guys are the teachers.

Thanks.

Bahaha... Thanks for posting that one. I wanted to share it but got distracted and forgot to screen cap it.

I thought I had that game but you pulled through just at the last. Nice one.

I never thought that this will be winnable when you grabbed the middle one. One of my most interesting games

You and me both. I should probably make my bots be more aggressive when there is only one ball left.
