Because you are building software for everyone to use, no matter where they are from. Date format is a tiny feature, but it subtly represents your interface and intentions on who your audience is. You care about the UI and UX, and you have a wonderful vision for this game, and a tremendous work ethic that shows in your release schedule, the gaming expo events you go to, your organization on the road map, and involvement on this forum. That's why I contribute and bother sending bug reports to your forum. I don't even contribute on stack overflow.
