I strongly disagree with his views on Multivariate testing. Depending on what you're testing, it's the best approach and I think doing an A/B test to find the best user retention % is a very good test.

I currently use Multivariate tests with thousands of users to find which of our different machine learning algorithms have the best user response. I also work with someone with a PhD in the Data Science field that strongly believes that A/B testing these algorithms in the real world is the only way to find the best approach. Of course we did offline testing to estimate the best ones, but that's just part of the problem solved.

You just want to find the sweet spot between conveying what Gladiabots is about and not giving away too much of your work for free, sounds like a good reason to do A/B testing imo.

Seen a bit of the youtube talks, I understood somehow. And +1 to what nullpointer wrote above. A/B tests are not bad, you just find the best tradeoff that you could find between your reward and user experience.

Меня как "существующего" затронуло... Не то, что-бы мне жалко 5 баксов, просто лень заморачиваться с PayPal. Это не самая распространённая платёжная система в России...

No idea, I suspect they lose money... as they only stick an single ad (usually for an amazon item for sale) up when you start up the app, it's really not much at all.

Мне нафиг все эти заморочки... я сломал игру буквально через неделю, теперь могу открывать все уровни, всех ботов офлайн... ))
Продавать игру на стадии альфа теста - бред...
