For the wider world, the problem seems to be tied up in Windows Defender somewhere. So while 10.1 sailed past, 10.2 did not. To get past this, I disabled the AV, Firewall, and App Controls, ran the game once, and turned WD back on. The game seems to function, but windows still pesters me each time I try to launch the game.... can't have everything I guess...

Could you try to install the itch app?
It should automatically update the game for you and avoid this kind of problem on game launch.
