Beta 2.2 release candidate is available!
On Steam: switch to the "release-candidate" branch.
On Android: join the beta program at http://test.android.gladiabots.com

Hello GFX,

I've just signed up for the beta testing program after seeing the changelog mentioning the speed improvement made for Android in RC4.
Note that I use a Galaxy S7.

Unfortunatly, I didn't notice any real improvement.

The loading screen is slighly displayed sooner, but the loading time, up to the menu, is still the same roughly (very long, more than 1min).

The in game performance is slighly better at first, but after 2-3 matches, it is still horribly lagged as in previous release, less than 10fps.
I noticed since previous release already that if I use the switch apps page or go to home page and then get back to the game, it is again faster for 2-3 matches, not as faster as a fresh start but still way faster than if I do nothing. May be related to the way the memory is handled in the game as I suppose Android release a part of the memory when I do this "trick".

Havn't tryed the AI edition into the new RC4 but before it was a pain as well, sometime having a 1 or 2 fps.
I don't know if it can have an impact but I use quite big AI and my "full" AI use lots of sub AI and have more than 5 levels of "deepness" of sub AI ( Sub Ai into sub AI into sub AI etc...).

I also experience the "Waiting for your deployement" bug in RC4. I've a private match currently stucked at this state.

I hope a fix will be found for the performance issue since some release as I can barely play now, the game is too laggy.

Start the game, play a few matches, make a few AI changes and click the bug report button please.

Ok, I will do this this evening after work ;-)

Is "AI changes" as to be real changes or just moving something, disconnect and reconnect some node are ok? Just to know as I don't want to make real changes but if it is needed for the test, I will use a duplicate of my main AI...

You can just move nodes around, delete/restore links, etc.

I've sent you my log by email.

Surprisingly, I did not noticed the common huge drop in fps today. I did have poor fps yesterday after the install of RC4.

It seems that the new release effectively improve the in game speed. Even the AI edition is faster but there is still a significant lag of 1-2 second when doing a delete/add link or object. Even if I find it weird, it seems like the phone/Android has to "get used to" the update before to reach stable performance...

The loading time is still very long though and the last few matches (especially the unranked matches against Jakwins ghost) where quite laggy.
I suspect that the phone is limiting performance to control chips temperature after playing a while.

So except the loading time I would correct my first assumption, the overall performance has increased in RC4.

If i try to watch the replay, I get the message that it is a depreciated match.
Is it possible that the match was created before I updated to RC4 creating this behavior?

The game was indeed created with 2.1 resolution engine, which is deprecated in 2.2.
