Of course. But need to understand my own AI. Have several losses and draws against very protective AIs. So I have some balancing to do to boost aggression.

I am playing for three days now. Yesterday I got the first win against a 1500+ player :)

It's a nice achievement and I'm kinda amazed how far I have come with a universal AI.

Most top players have one universal AI. Having several AIs, one for each map gives you only a very short advantage. To much maintainance to do.

That might be true but for now I had some amazing experiences with special AI's for different Bots and Maps. But I could probably fit them all into one AI which would make them superior to the current versions. That's just so much to do that I don't want to start :D

I just changed to one universal AI two or three weeks ago. My breaking point was, that I had so many AIs, subroutines and specialized stuff I lost the overview of what they should do. And the tagging was superbuggy because there where so many different subroutines.

But the most important thing is (no matter if universal AI or specialized), that you are able to control the bots and behave in different situations like you expect them to do. That's the difficult thing with mind map. To be honest, very often I have no idea how the bots should behave ... So how can I reach them?

While I can't speak for nullpointer, I can say that maintenance is definitely a major reasoning behind staying with generic AIs, but it isn't the only reason. With specialized AIs, if you find a major improvement, the amount of work to switch the information to each AI becomes enormous, and testing strategies that are helpful overall take much longer to do because a CoD AI wasn't meant to think about the 2v2 of Mind Game. This (combined with the bot class limit) is why generic AIs are so successful: they are made to do everything well and can help find some of the overall helpful information that would otherwise get ignored

Nice flanking :geek: Maybe you could improve that with a flag that stops you from flanking to long. Do that once, maybe twice.

To good not to adapt. Difficult thing is to find a way not to get pushed into the wall with the solitary SG. I tried flanking 90° and it worked not so well as you can see.

very impressive how you hold your ground, while being attacked by three sides. Although having the advantage of bot types, this is very difficult to achieve.
