Rescue Subroutine using the new tags

Image

Where "b_duels" decides if this bot can fight a one-on-one, or if it even is a one-on-one.
Also assume that attack targets are handled afterwards.

On the left side, this tree decides if this bot is in need of rescue. The right side reacts to the tags and comes to save an ally in trouble.

What do you think? A valid use of the tagging system? :)

Interesting... but you forgot the part where your ally is already dead because you took too long trying to read your tags.

You had to go there, didn't you... (To be fair, I was thinking about saying something similar)

Yeah, this idea is good on paper, but is it in practice? Tagging someone takes a long time

wut?
If you're asking what else I'm using tags for - Funking everything: Duels, rescue missions, assassinations, focus fire, panic buttons... I'm not giving you all of my subroutines ;) .
If the boss wants tags to be thing, It's our duty as testers to abuse these types of things, is it not?

Yeah... I'm curious to see how this will work in practice when more players have the same version. It's working well against my non-tagging AI and solo missions (some of which like to rush for balls) but i know it's no comparison.

Placing 2 extra tags is unfortunately pretty noticeable. Thankfully reading them is "free". I guess I'm hoping that smarts beats speed? Like the saying "It doesn't matter who shoots first if you miss".

All possible nodes with tags?
That's a lot of nodes.

Here's what you can do, if you're not downloading 6.1(/.1):
1. Tag an enemy or an ally 1-5 that only that bot can see.
2. Tag an enemy or an ally 1-5 that only that bot can see, and delete all other current occurrences of that tag.
3. Remove tag 1-5 from an enemy or an ally.

4. Tag an enemy or an ally A-E that your whole team can see.
5. Tag an enemy or an ally A-E that your whole team can see, and delete all other current occurrences of that tag.
6. Remove tag A-E from an enemy or an ally.

7. Filter enemies by a tag.
8. Filter enemies that don't have a tag.
9. Use tags as conditions.

And in case you havn't read the outrage, tagging/untagging takes a tick. Hence 2 and 5 being super useful, and many using a "captain" to tag, letting others simply shoot.
