I find this map pretty hard. You can't predict the setup in front of you and you can only fight long range battles. I tried to find some more asymmetrical setups but they all suck when I throw them into the hard and cruel reality of multiplayer's word.

I was also thinking that the amount of videos on youtube (or other supercrowded online video services) about gladiabots could be a good meter of the amount of engagement in the game. So far there are videos but not so frequent.

If one searches for quake live, that is a quite hard FPS and therefore not so much populated (the population I would say is stable since, dunno, 1998?), one has one video every hour more or less.

Another FPS that is even harder than quake (and so even less populated), warsow, has less video uploaded than gladiabots in the last months.

The opponent did not fire at the rest of your team, i made the same error. But nice usage of tags, I just use 2 for the moment .

Ps: how cool is the sound? I always played without since alpha 4.3

One of the best matches I had recently. 2 different strategies fighting until the last second.

With an extra second it would have been a draw.
With an extra minute I probably would have won, we will never know :D

Yes, he is. I had my comeback just now, but considering he has just started the game (unless it's someone's second account), I sense matches will get pretty tough really fast.

I'm extremely unwilling to optimize for seven wonders and set your priorities - speaking of which I should update the other thread, - so I lose a ton of points there because I do not push for resources. While the other maps are still interesting. On meeting point I had the upper hand with you some minutes ago and then I lost it due to the tactic of pushing through gaps that let my bots be trapped.

Try playing SYP as if it were Starving. I started using this strategy today and won 5 times without a single shot fired. Everyone is going to start using a similar strategy very soon, try to stay ahead.

Yes I got the idea very soon (it was the same in alpha 4.3, where one had only assaults bot rushing). Just I am unwilling, exactly like with starving (in alpha 4.X I never played that map, brr. In apha 4.x you could decide which map to play).

Eventually I will do it, but only after I have other maps well covered.
