I have a problem to determine who's the third though.
Any idea?

Milkhunter.

Everyone (aside from the winner, in the best case) lost at least once. So it is the guy that lost the final of the loser bracket.

1. Winner
2. Runner up in the final
3. runner up in the loser brackets final

Also, under the assumptiont that who is stronger always win (not true):
- single elimination: one can identify the best player, but precisely not the second best
- double elimination: once can identify the best player, the second best, but not precisely the third best.

That's confirmed, Castlevania won this second official tournament!
Kudos to him and all the contestants.

Well, the new automatic tournament system is cool. So, does it work for unofficial ones? how?

As soon as toornament creates new games, it gets synched with my database and matches are spawned accordingly.
Onces a match is complete, it syncs back the result to toornament and tournament creates new games and it gets synched back again, etc.
Until tournament is complete.

What option do we have for games? Restricting possible maps? Multiple maps for one match? Restricting bot classes?

it's integrated now

Let's try it with an all assault tournament. I've to less time to organize but I would love to join.

I would appreciate to see a volunteer for organizing the next unofficial All Assaults Tournament.

I'd say theKidPunisher may do it (since he is also the master of all assault). I'll do a new one as soon as the post 9.2 stabilizes a bit.

But you know my tournaments are the "serious" one.

Congratz to castlevania tough.

hey I protest. On the stats page the medals are assigned according to the last tournament. They should be cumulative (maybe not immediately, but slowly).

You can configure the available map list at the tournament level (applies for all matches).
There's no way to constrain classes yet.

OMG Gfx47 your tournament videos occupied my YouTube subscription page!

Sry i do only test now (and play only private match sent to me)

And i am the «master of all assault» only cause i am the only one to play like that...
And after think about it, i realize that my AI havent a case of all assault ennemies...

After if some of you really want a tournament, maybe i can organize it for try.

That would be awesome. Most ppl sent optimized against all assaults. That's what makes it interesting. Could be that someone nobody expects is the winner at the end. I realized how strong your tactics are when we played private. Would be fun to benchmark it against others.

GFX, what about leavers? I mean how the system will works in case of a participant who does not play his match? Is he automatically disqualified after a certian amoint of time by an automatic system or the guy who organize the tournament will have to disqualify him on the site?

I'm still working on an automatic forfeit system.
Basically there will be a timeout on pending matches and the one who didn't deploy in time will lose the match.

I think the idea is reasonable: either you deploy in time or you lose, also because otherwise who deployed has the AI that gets "older".
