This cup will be pretty hot. I hope also the next one will get such competitors.

But next time I will surely join and farm you all.

Because my nvidia is away from me, as soon as I fecht it. Plus I need to build a couple of Ikea stuff for the new flat and I have really no time if I want also to play with Jannika. It is already enough to keep the organization.

You can even notice that the unavoidable tournaments are on hold.

Please review the rules because if today we get no registrations I will start the tournament tomorrow and it is good if we clear possible ambiguities.

Ok filled the slots (unexpected!) Tournament started.

So first round of games you have time until the 29th of July (30th morning, Paris time).

In this round I see only Ritter hard.

Remember: if you don't play, the last who played ranked matches in those days wins by default.

As you know player will probably continue to play ranked during the tournament,
so elo will changed.

The question about rules is: in case of tie, we take the elo before the match/before the begining of tournament/after the match?

Good question. I take it now, better fix things in advance.

ALso, with 2 day per match we will end in 30days... it's not quite long for a tournament?
But if everybody do it right it will goes very faster.

chris 2043
einstein 1617
lubeno 2062
arcueid 1732
b head 1983
kanishka 1715
mcompany 1858
theKidPunisher 1723
Gadgetroch 1216
0x1de 1878
chilio 1807
castlevania 2072
ritter runkel 2101
milkhunter 2125
miojo 2154
TalonZa 1601

Anyway doing this I discover that is a bit meh. Next time I will compute the average elo in the last 100 ranked matches done before the tournament starts.

But I strongly believe that the tiebreaks won't be needed to define the top3 (tiebreaks apply only on the final standings)

Wut? swiss system.

8 matches at best (so 2 weeks). Plus one has to consider real life. The best are the unavoidable tournaments (that I may replicate on toornament too, filling stuff manually) thanks to the ranked matches. In real tournament one has to allow a lot of possible setbacks. Actually 2 days per match is pretty strict, normally if the tournaments are not "in one weekend", one match takes one week to be done.

What do you mean?

if draw on a map it isnt a win for player with more elo, the "tie" is only if at the end of all maps the 2 player ahve the same number of wins? (that looks better if it is that)

no.

A tie is 1 point each. If at the end of all the games you have , say, 10 points and another guy 10 points, then first it is applied the buchholz, then the elo value.

So it is for the final standing.

Ritter don't worry the swiss system is merciless. Winners pairs with winners, so except from the first round, say you lose, then B head will likely match miojo or milkhunter or chris or lubeno and so on. While in a knockout tournament one has to adjust the seeds, the swiss system is self adjusting and ensures that aside from the first round, all the other rounds are hard.
