This is the first global Limited Node Tournament!
https://www.toornament.com/tournaments/ ... nformation

The rules are simple:
Create an AI <50 Nodes and Battle!

Matches are played best of 5 in private match, using the following maps:
1.The Seven Wonders
2.Set Your Priorities
3.Circle Of Death
4.Meeting Point
5.Split Team

Players report winner, after best 3/5 is won. This is Double Elimination, so even if you lose once you still have a chance of winning the tournament.

Tournament Specific Rules:
-Ai must have less than 50 nodes(49 + title node)
-Special Bots are allowed, but they must have <50 Nodes
-No Subtrees
-Connectors do not count towards node limit
-The winner of the Tournament CAN post a screenshot of their AI on forums if they choose to(I'm super curious)
-No modifying AI after tournament start
-Have fun!!! :D

It is a Bo3 or a Bo5? (with 5 maps i think it is a Bo5 but the 3/5 disturb me)

And all the bots have to use the same AI or you can do a AI with 50nodes for each class?

You cant modify your AI during the tournament?

i'm interested but dont know if the date will be good for me (i will check, but for the begining of the tournament i wil not be able to play a lot)

It is best of 5 games. All AIs do not have to be the same(but all assaults should be the same), each individual AI must be less than 50 nodes. Yes, you can use special bots too. The tournament will start either on Wednesday or Friday, depending on how many people are signed up.

Sounds interesting. I'll sign up.

Some questions:
1: Why private matches? Auto scheduling would be better. I know there have been some problems in the last tournament, but when it works it is great. Also would help GFX testing integration.
2: Are map-specific AIs allowed? There might then be 5(+1)*4=24 different AIs per player.
3: Do connector nodes count towards the limit?

1. This is my first tournament, so I've never used the Auto Scheduler before. I'm not against trying it.
2. Changing ai against your opponent for different maps would break the "no modifying ai" rule. So I'm going to say No to map-specific ai.
3. Nope, connectors don't count towards the limit. :)

So a maximum of four AIs, one for each bot type.

Is it worth being more specific and say that no one can change any AIs once the contest has started?

It's already fun. I just knocked up a 12-node AI that beats my normal AI on T7W (all assaults).

And why should the winner post her/his ai after winning that's kinda disturbing . . .

Ai is must be private. because it can easily steal.

If Mr.revenge (game maker) want to see the ai of the winner it can be done by private chat or something like that

I just thought it would be a fun idea so people could see what type of layout beat them. For example I optimized my connectors a lot as they don't count towards the node limit. ;)

You're not required to show it if you don't feel comfortable doing so. I will change that to optional. I hope you enter! :)

I've received my first game against Milkhunter, so auto scheduling is working.
