2K17 Q1 Request Compilation

By the end of this post Dr D (GFX47) will hate me. :twisted: Keep in mind, these are very advanced requests. Some features could be absent for new players, either by XP Unlock or Toggle in Settings

  • Extras
    • This will be a new button under the existing Tutorials.
    • Will include:
      • Connect (Social Media Links)
      • Credits (Maybe a few mentions of our most mentionable endeavors. And of course names of the highest donators and most active Alpha Testers)
      • Community (Link to Forum)
      • Roadmap (Link to Trello)
  • AI Cloud
    • A password protected cloud where users can upload AIs, and restrict access by other users. Useful for AI backup and sharing.

      If that's the case, we could have AI codes. Share it. Someone enters the code in their device, bang! It is copied there. Codes are randomly generated every 24 hours to prevent unwanted overuse.
  • Logic
    • New type of Node/Condition/Filter
    • Lets us compare values, and compute situations.
    • Basically, GreaterThan, LesserThan, Distance, Time, Counting Filters. The Logic Node will be a modified Condition Node that will have 2 Targets and both will have Filters (including Logic Filters).
    • Syntax: Target - Entity1 - Filters - Condition - Entity2 - Filters
    • Requires New Filters: MovingToTarget and FleeingFromTarget
  • New Clipboard
    • Undo, Redo, Mass-Select Nodes, Mass-Copy Nodes, Mass-Cut Nodes, Mass-Paste Nodes, Mass-Delete Nodes.
  • In-Game Browser
    • Convenient for seeing Stats.
    • Apart from Replay Codes, we could have a Watch button to directly play the Replay.
  • New AI Selector
    • Mass-Change AIs
    • Save multiple presets of Bot and AI Layout
  • New Tag System
    • Custom Tags
    • UnTag and ExclusiveTag only affect the Target Selector. For example, Exclusive TeamTagA Closest Enemy won't UnTag Allies. Bot UnTag 1 Any Resource won't UnTag Bases.
  • Generalized Entities
    • New Type of Target
    • Will Include:
      • Bot (Any Bot)
      • Base (Any Base)
  • Map Conditions
    • New Condition
    • Conditions for detecting current Map
  • Location Condition
    • New Condition
    • Includes:
      • Near - A range half that of Short Range. Applicable for any Entity
      • On - Exactly on another Entity. Applicable only for Bases and Resources.

Can we add background/simultaneous tags and exclusive tags only affecting that target type (such as making ”exclusive tag enemy” not untag allies) to the list?

A suggestion I made earlier didn' t make the list or was misunderstood, namely having a near out of range, to see how many enemies are about to get into range.

I have one more suggestion, that have once been discussed earlier. An ability to write ur AI in text format (like a real program) neither drag&drop block diagram. It might be in-demand not only on PC, also on tab or phone, because it increases readability of code. I suppose game is parsing our AIs to text and then run, so it probably isn't hard to add this very usefull feature.

It was discussed several times, GFX wants to keep the game oriented towards noncoders. ^^
