First of all, evolution implies a tree branching out, not a ladder with one direction. I think the game is actually closer to a complex form of rock-paper-scissors. Once the game has established a certain fanbase, monetization options outside of the game become viable. Merch sales like stickers, t-shirts, etc. I would gladly free up some space on the back of my laptop for a nice assault bot sticker.

Listing your product as a free title then charging users to get the full version in-game automatically turns most players off. Either list it as a paid game or list it as free. I'm curious about what would happen if several top ranked players intentionally start losing matches to drop to a lower tier, and then try to get back up again. This makes little sense other than to test out stuff. Because Alpha.
